Planning Disney in 2020

Disney is always a location you can plan a bunch of activities and details ahead of time, but now there is so much to just be aware of if you plan on going in the next few months at least. This is just meant to cover the basics of what is going on if you still plan to go soon.

Much of the theme park world is running on this motto of “Know Before You Go” mentality. We will see exactly what happens as the parks all start to actually reopen, but it’s especially important to remember that nothing is written in stone and things will be constantly changing in the upcoming months.

Disney is saying that there will be lots of communication leading up to a guest’s arrival to Disney, so they *do* “know before they go,” and since there will be a reservation system for even just attending the parks, it is sure to lead to everyone getting communication.

Let’s cut to the chase and get down to dates! Disney has proposed to open Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th and Epcot and Hollywood Studios and Epcot on July 15th.

There will be limits on attendance, and experiences that “draw crowds” will not resume yet, so no fireworks, parades, or character meet and greets yet. Masks will be required for all guests 3 years and older and encouraged mobile ordering and payments. It was stated that characters will still be visible in the parks, but not “meeting” any guests. Extra cleaning procedures by Cast Members will be implemented, along with hand washing stations and hand sanitizer stations being readily available for anyone to use.

There have already been many details released, and sure to be many many more in the upcoming weeks. There may also be changes before the Disney Parks even open because they could very well learn some lessons from the other parks that will have already been opened to the public for a few weeks before July 11th.

BUT the Parks are on their way to opening and hopefully things are starting to get back to “normal” life and that’s exciting to me!!

Be sure to check Disney World’s website (click here) to see all the most up to date information about the reopening. And if you plan on visiting Disney Springs (click here), be sure to check their website to see all the latest details on that opening.

We will all be back to the magic very soon now, so if you’d like to plan your next magical trip, let me help! I can help you keep track of all the details and procedures happening. Email me or fill out the form found under “Free Quote” at the top of the page to get started!
