Tours That Add Extra Magic

It might seem far away right now, but soon enough we’ll all be back enjoying the magic!! Sometimes you’d like to add some special magic to your trip.  There are so many different tours offered in the different Disney Parks, so I just grabbed a few to feature that sound pretty darn amazing!  I will feature some more available tours in a few weeks. 

Caring for Giants

  • Takes place in Animal Kingdom
  • 1 hour
  • Family friendly, but children must be at least 4 years old
  • Behind the scenes of care and training of the elephants
  • Each tour has an elephant guide and a cultural representative
  • Percentage of proceeds of the tour price goes towards African Elephants protection in the wild

Wild Africa Trek

  • Takes place in Animal Kingdom 
    • Journey into the Harambe Wildlife Reserve
  • 3 hour privately guided “Safari Adventure”
  • Family friendly for children 8 and up *and* 48” tall
  • Just to name a few of the amazing experiences in this tour, you will visit the hippo overlook, go on a suspended bridge about 30 feet above all  the crocodiles, and board a private safari vehicle fully surrounded by animals
  • Stop at the Boma (a private platform in the middle of the savannah) to eat some African inspired snacks, 
  • There are PhotoPass photographers taking photos throughout this tour of the guests and they are all part of the cost of the tour
  • Portion of the proceeds go towards the Disney Conservation Fund

Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience

  • Takes place in Animal Kingdom
  • Privately guided 2 hour look into Harambe Wildlife Reserve
  • Board a private truck and get to talk to the animal keepers
  • Stop at the Boma to have a drink and some African cuisine
    • There are many different areas of the Boma to allow you to see different areas of the savannah and, therefore, different animals
  • Portion of the proceeds goes to Disney Conservation Fund and the guest get to determine which area of the conservation fund they want the money to be donated

Keys to the Kingdom

  • Takes place in Magic Kingdom
  • 5 hours
  • Open to guests age 16 and up to preserve the magic for younger guests
  • Tour gives history and heritage of Magic Kingdom and talks about day to day operations
  • Visit almost every land inside the park and learn all sorts of fun facts about the different areas
  • Some key adventures
    • Ride the Jungle Cruise in a private boat
    • Ride the Haunted Mansion
    • Go into the Production Center where the parade floats are stored and take a look at some floats closer
    • Go down into the Utlilidoor system (tunnels below the park)
  • Lunch prepared and waiting for you as part of this tour

Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour

  • Tour takes place in multiple parks, but starts in Magic Kingdom
  • Ride all the rides below in only 7 hours and that timeframe includes lunch
    • Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Soarin, Rock’n’Roller Coaster, Star Tours, Tower of Terror, Toy Story Midway Mania
  • Lunch at Epcot’s Sunshine Seasons
  • This is a tour of all expedited FastPass+ experiences
  • Tour is open to all ages as long as the guest is 48”  

Ultimate Disney Classics VIP Tour

  • Takes place in Magic Kingdom
  • 4 hours
  • Family friendly to any age, as all rides are “any height”
  • Ride the Magic Kingdom classics below
    • Many Adventures Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo, Under The Sea, Peter Pan’s Flight, It’s a Small World, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise
  • Also stop at Gaston’s Tavern for a snack

Private VIP Guided Tour

  • This tour takes place wherever you’d like it to
    • You choose the schedule, including start time
  • Starts at 7 hours long
  • Family friendly since you make it what you want it to be
  • Priority viewing for parades and shows
  • Unlimited FastPass+s for what you want to ride, when you want to ride it, even if you want to ride the same thing over and over again
  • Backstage park to park transportation

Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP Tour

  • Takes place in Animal Kingdom
  • 4 hours
  • Family friendly for any age, but attraction height requirements are still enforced
  • Tour takes you from Dino Land to ride
  • Tour takes you to Dino Land to ride 
    • DINOSAUR, Na’vi River Journey, Flight of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safari, and Expedition Everest 
  • VIP seating for Rivers of Light

Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom

  • Takes place in Magic Kingdom
  • 2.5 to 3 hours
  • Mostly geared towards adults, but guests 12 and up are welcome
  • Follow timeline of Walt’s life and how events in his life turned into attractions
  • Main Street is first stop, not only Marceline (Missouri), but ALL of the small towns in the US
  • Ride Haunted Mansion and it’s a small world
  • A walk around the park and a historical overview of how many of the attractions came to be what they are

Backstage Magic Tour

  • Takes place multiple parks
  • 7 hours
  • Open to guests 12 and up to preserve the magic for younger guests
  • Goes all backstage to see how just about every bit of magic is made
  • PhotoPass photos are taken in certain areas and photos are included in the package
  • See Creative Costuming department where they design all the costumes
    • This is an area that even most Cast Members aren’t allowed into!
  • Every tour is different because you never know what the departments are working on at that time in Central Shops
  • Also adventure down into the Utilidoors (underground tunnels) system in Magic Kingdom
  • Lunch is included

Gardens of the World

  • Takes place in Epcot during Flower and Garden Festival
  • 3 hours
  • Open to guests 12 and up
  • Lead by horticulturist
  • Visit each country in World Showcase and learn how they incorporate the local horticulture into those gardens
  • Also visits Future World and the Butterfly Garden
  • Horticulturist explains how they make the topiaries
