This week in Disney news

  • Bob Iger has stepped down as CEO of Disney and Bob Chapek, who was most recently chairman of Disney parks, will assume his role.  Iger isn’t leaving the company quite yet, he will focus on Disney’s creative strategy, in the position of Executive Chairman, through the end of 2021 when his departure is planned.

  • Visiting WDW this fall? Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Tickets are now on sale! The first party is August 13th, so be sure to see if your vacation dates match up to one of the parties! See all the info and dates here 
  • Spaceship Earth will close May 26th to begin it’s reimagination. I can’t wait to see what it looks like when they’re done! See the concept art and read about it here

  • Disney continues to keep their parks as “green” as they can and have been recognized.  Disneyland Resort recently won the 2019 SEAL Business Sustainability Award. See the full story here
